About Us Maori Performing Arts of New South Wales Inc. is the state organisation for Kapa Haka and Māori Performing Arts in New South Wales, Australia. We are responsible for fostering and developing traditional Māori Performing Arts in the pursuit of excellence.  We provide support each year for the local, state and national development of kapa haka, and work to promote and lift the profile of Māori performing arts in schools, at festivals and at local, state, and national events.   Mission To foster, develop, and encourage greater community integration of traditional Maori Performing Arts in the pursuit of excellence in NSW Australia.   Objectives To encourage the Maori community living in New South Wales to engage in strengthening their links to their culture and language through Kapa haka and tradition. To have Maori Performing Arts introduced into the Australian performing arts curriculum enabling our Maori youth to gain certification to assist with their pathway to higher education.
